Invisalign straightens teeth with clear, removable aligners made to fit your teeth. Most people won’t notice you’re wearing them.
It also treats an overbite (top teeth that sit too far over the bottom ones), an underbite (bottom teeth that stick out past the top ones) and a crossbite (a twisted bite), as well as other jaw and bite problems.
How it works
Invisalign uses 3D computer imaging to map your whole treatment, from where your teeth are now to where they should end up. From that plan we have a series of custom clear aligners made, each one shaped for its stage of treatment.
Compared with braces
- Aligners are nearly invisible, so you can smile freely during treatment.
- They’re made for your teeth, with no brackets to rub your lips, no steel bands against your gums and no wires to poke your cheeks.
- You take them out to eat, brush and floss, so it’s easier to keep your teeth clean than with fixed braces.
- Because they come out at mealtimes, you can eat whatever you like.
