A filling stops tooth decay while it’s still small and easy to manage.
Teeth used to be filled with amalgam, the silver filling. Amalgam is easy to see, and in the end it leaves the tooth weaker.
Tooth-coloured fillings match the colour of your teeth, so they’re hard to notice. We use them for cavities and to repair stained, chipped or irregular teeth.
If you have silver fillings and would like them to look more natural, we can replace them with tooth-coloured ones. You can eat as soon as the anaesthetic wears off.
