The perfect smile is different for everyone, but a few rules make a smile look balanced. Besides the shape and colour of your teeth and the proportions of your face and lips, GlamSmile weighs many other details when it designs your veneers. These are the most important.
Teeth that match the whites of your eyes
A smile looks balanced when the colour of the teeth matches the whites of the eyes. It looks natural and fresh, and younger too. Avoid going too white, or your teeth will draw more attention than your eyes.
Upper teeth that lead
The upper teeth should be more prominent and more visible than the lower ones. In a broad smile, they slightly cover the lower teeth.
Gums that stay hidden
Ideally your gums don’t show when you smile. If they do, they should look healthy and light pink. If a lot of gum shows, the dentist can often fix it with a short, painless laser treatment.
Teeth that follow your lower lip
Proportions matter. Teeth look best when the two upper front teeth are slightly longer than the teeth beside them, and when the edges of the upper teeth follow the line of your lower lip.
Matching front teeth
A balanced smile has two identical front teeth, the central incisors. We call them twins.
